As always, a wonderful spread of food had been provided by Brenda Miles, supported by Barry Miles. While the buffet consisted of all the various sandwiches, crisps, pies and pickles, this year there was a pleasant change in the food, hot pork and turkey baps, with stuffing.
Talk was plentiful amongst those who attended, with only short speech from the chairman this year.
The chairman then moved on to drawing the raffle, amongst the prizes this year, socks, wine, whiskey, chocolates and books. Almost everybody won something, with Barry seeming to win the majority of the prizes..... However he very generously re-donated the majority of the prizes back in to the pool of prizes. With this never ending set of prizes, we thought the raffle would never end!!!! A total of £50 was collected.
The evening was concluded with either profiteroles, cheese cake or strawberry gateaux followed by tea or coffee.
