MILLS ON THE AIR 2008

A big thanks to all who turned out to support BVARS & the mills on the air.
Also to those who managed to call in on the radios.
Disasters so included getting the dipole stuck underwater!,Me scalding my hand making drinks,parts of a fishing rod lost in mill pond (twice) and an HF rig that would not TX ..what else could happen?
Well we had the HF rig went into shut down mode several times (I hope no new damage done) and then we had to leave one of our club members sitting on the mill wall with all his equipment waiting for his car keys to be retrieved ! (Hope you did'nt have to wait too long "Mr.X")
Still all worth the effort ..lots of contacts on & off the air and a great time had by all.
